Financial Assistance

The Lawrence Community Music School is committed to providing music instruction to every student regardless of family income level. In 2003, the Tutti (the Italian term for "everyone together") Scholarship Fund was born to support this goal. The Girl Choir Empowerment Fund was established in 2016 specifically for the Lawrence Girl Choir program in order to help girls from all backgrounds find their voice.

Need-based scholarships are available for all Community Music School lessons, ensembles, and classes during the academic year. Please note that scholarships are unavailable for summer programming, including summer lessons, camps, etc. Awards from our scholarship funds are limited; most families who receive assistance from this fund have an annual household income between $15,000 and $40,000.  Families with higher annual income levels are eligible for smaller awards in special circumstances. Please give a thorough narrative if your family has extenuating circumstances such as a job loss or high medical bills.  Awards are re-evaluated and renewed annually.  Please note that full scholarships are not awarded but that we will work with you to develop a plan that is affordable.

Continuing students must submit a complete financial aid application, including current Community Music School teacher recommendation, no later than June 16 for the 2023-24 academic year. New students must submit complete financial aid applications with music teacher recommendation at the time of enrollment.

Any questions regarding financial assistance should be directed to our registrar at 920-993-6278.
