COVID-19 Protocol
We are glad to welcome you back to campus for another year of programming at LCMS and thank you for joining us in keeping one another safe and well. This page will continue to be updated with the most current safety information and protocols for our programs.
As a division of Lawrence University, LCMS will adhere to all guidelines of the University concerning masks and/or other COVID-related protocols.
Masking
- Starting August 15, 2022, masking will no longer be required in our lobby area.
- Students should check with their teacher as to the current masking policy while in classes/lessons. Mask friendly status does allow teachers discretion in how they handle their teaching space. Please be respectful of teacher’s wishes. Students are welcome to wear a mask at any time during classes and lessons.
- Bell covers are suggested for wind instruments.
- Students who have had a positive COVID-19 result should mask for an additional 5 days beyond the isolation period (see below)
Building Etiquette & Safety Precautions
- Students should not attend an in-person program or enter a Lawrence building while they are experiencing respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills, or fatigue. If symptoms are mild, your teacher may be able to provide an online lesson; please contact your teacher as soon as possible if any symptoms are present.
- Students also should stay home if an immediate family member is sick and experiencing respiratory symptoms.
