New This Year
Adult Songwriting Class - Beginner/Intermediate
Registration Closed - if you would like to receive information on future sessions, please fill out our Interest Form.
Songwriting is a transformative creative experience to express truths, emotions, perspectives and personality through words and music. By taking some time and space to explore your creative voice, you will be able to write songs that will foster a deeper connection to yourself and the world around you. In this 4-week summer session led by Loren Dempster, we’ll work individually or collaboratively to write songs and make music. While it is not necessary, please consider bringing some kind of chordal instrument like a guitar or ukulele and a way to write lyrics. There will be keyboards on site that are available to us.
Saturdays, June 3, 10, 17, and 24
9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Fee: $75
Location: Lawrence Community Music School, Room 14
