Thank you for your interest in our Early Childhood Music program! Please fill out the form below to register for the upcoming session. 

Fall 2023: 9-Week Session
  • Schedule: weekly, 30-minute classes
    • Tuesdays: September 12, 19, 26; October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31; November 7, 14*
    • Thursdays: September 14, 21, 28; October 5, 12, 19, 26; November 2, 9, 16*
    • Sundays: September 10, 17, 24; October 1, 8, 22, 29; November 5, 12, 19*
      *Make-up in case of teacher illness.
       
  • Location: Studio 14, Lawrence Community Music School (lower level)
     
  • Fee: $116 for single-child classes, $209 for sibling class

Tuition assistance is available to those who demonstrate financial need.

Cancellation Policy: 
A 50% refund is given prior to the first class; no refund is given after classes begin.

Siblings Class Choice
The Music and Movement class takes place on Tuesdays, 10:00-10:30 a.m. Children ages 3-4 participate in class independently while caregivers wait in the lobby.
Class Choice
Child and caregiver pairs participate in Music for the Very Young classes grouped by age. If you do not see your desired time, the class is full and has been removed from the listing.

Caregiver Guidelines
  • Caregiver participation is paramount to children being successful in learning and loving music.  Please sing and move with your child during all activities in class.
     
  • Don’t worry if your child is hesitant or withdrawn in class. Many children observe in a group setting and feel more comfortable doing interactive activities with you by themselves; therefore, make singing a family habit at home. 
     
  • It’s fine for children to roam around and explore in class, but please keep them safe and not disruptive.  A gentle invitation to join in the fun is always better than forced participation.
     
  • This is a precious 30 minutes of uninterrupted music making with your child.  Please focus on them and their needs and enjoy socializing with friends before or after class.
     
  • Since all but sibling classes are meant for caregivers and one child, and classes typically run at maximum capacity, please avoid bringing an unregistered child to class. Children are not allowed to remain unattended in the lobby.
     
  • Enjoy what we have to offer your children such as puppets, balls and instruments.  There is no need to bring anything else to class such as toys or food.
     
  • All children enrolled in this program develop at different rates.  Enjoy being part of your child’s unique growth experience; avoid the temptation to make comparisons.

Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
This document affects your legal rights - read it carefully. I am registering for a Program of the Lawrence Lawrence Community Music School during the program year (July-June). I acknowledge that the Program is voluntary and may involve certain risks, including those described below. I understand that the Program involves, among other activities, rehearsing, performing, engaging in recreation, and, if applicable, traveling off campus. I acknowledge that these activities present certain inherent risks beyond Lawrence University’s control. I choose to participate in the Program understanding its associated risks, and I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness, death, or damage to or loss of my property that may occur while rehearsing, performing, traveling, engaging in recreation, or any activities arising out of or related to the Program. My participation in the Program is voluntary, and I understand that I may discontinue my participation at any time in light of the risks I am assuming. I hereby forever release Lawrence University, its trustees, officers, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”), from liability for any negligent act or omission arising from my participation in the Program, including related costs, damages, claims, or assertions to which I or my family, estate, or heirs may claim against the Released Parties. This Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, which shall be the forum for any lawsuits filed under or incident to this Release or the Program.
